What Is an ICP?
Your Ideal Customer Profile defines the types of contacts and companies that best match your target audience. EazyMatch AI uses these settings to assess whether the records in your CRM meet the criteria that matter to your business.
Your ICP is configured from the EazyMatch AI Admin Panel and can be updated whenever your target audience changes.
Before you begin
Synchronise Your CRM Data First
ICP setup becomes available after your CRM data has been synchronised for the first time. EazyMatch AI uses the job titles and industries found in your CRM to provide the options available within your ICP settings.
EazyMatch AI needs to identify the job titles and industries currently stored in your CRM before you can select which values should be included in or excluded from your ICP.
Job title settings
Choose Which Job Titles to Use
EazyMatch AI allows you to configure your ICP using either the original job titles stored in your CRM or the standardised job titles created by EazyMatch AI.
Job Titles from Your CRM
This option uses job titles exactly as they appear in your CRM. It may be suitable when your records already follow a consistent naming convention.
Variations such as “Marketing Director”, “Director of Marketing” and “Head of Marketing” may appear as separate titles and may need to be selected individually.
Standardised Job Titles
This option uses consistent job titles created by EazyMatch AI. Each title is also assigned a seniority level and business function.
This makes it easier to group related roles and build a more consistent ICP for matching, segmentation and reporting.
We recommend using standardised job titles because they reduce the effect of inconsistent naming and provide additional seniority and function information.
Complete Job Title Standardisation before configuring your ICP if you want to use standardised titles.
Included and excluded records
Choose Your Target and Excluded Values
Select the job titles and industries that represent your target audience. You can also identify titles and industries that should be excluded from your ICP.
- Target job titles
- Excluded job titles
- Target industries
- Excluded industries
These settings help EazyMatch AI distinguish suitable contacts and companies from records that do not currently match your target market.
Company criteria
Define Your Target Company Size
EazyMatch AI allows you to define target company size using annual revenue, number of employees or a combination of both.
Choose the qualification mode that best reflects how your business identifies a suitable company.
Employees Only
A company matches when its number of employees falls within your selected range. Annual revenue is not considered.
Revenue Only
A company matches when its annual revenue falls within your selected range. Employee numbers are not considered.
Employees OR Revenue
A company matches when either its employee count or annual revenue falls within your selected ranges. This is the most flexible option.
Employees AND Revenue
A company matches only when both its employee count and annual revenue fall within your selected ranges. This applies stricter criteria.
After choosing a qualification mode, enter the appropriate minimum and maximum values for employee numbers, annual revenue or both.
Activity criteria
Set Your Inactivity Threshold
Set an inactivity threshold to define how long a record can remain without relevant activity before it is flagged for review.
Choose a period that reflects your typical sales cycle and how often your team expects to engage with suitable contacts and companies.
Using your settings
How EazyMatch AI Uses Your ICP
Once configured, your ICP settings are used to identify accounts that do not currently have any contacts matching your target job titles and other selected criteria.
This helps your team identify gaps in account coverage and focus its attention on CRM records that require further review.
Your ICP settings also support GDPR readiness by helping you distinguish relevant target records from contacts and companies that may no longer meet your defined criteria.
Managing your setup
Review or Update Your ICP
You can review and update your ICP settings at any time from the EazyMatch AI Admin Panel.
Review the settings whenever your target market, revenue requirements, company-size criteria or preferred job titles change.
